I have an A7000 Plus that has version S177, I downloaded an "OFFICIAL OTA S153 TO S223 MARSHMALLOW UPDATE" zipped folder and, renamed it "update.zip". I rebooted and performed the factory reset and, it was successful but, when I rebooted again, the screen was blank. I could make out the word lenovo (it was very faint) but, there was nothing else I could see. Holding the power button causes a vibrating response so there seems to be some OS funtionality but, the primary problem is, there is nothing to see on the screen. I did a reset via, Google's Android Device Manager ( https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager ) and the phone rebooted but, I still couldn't see anything on the screen. When I connect the phone to my PC, I can see the folders and their contents. Is there a way to change the folder contents to force a downgrade or fix the compatibility issue or, am I doomed and just need to buy another phone?
